Talbot Park

Project Overview

The upgrade of Talbot Park Playspace was successfully completed by Yellowstone Landscaping. The design of the revitalized play space was influenced and shaped by community feedback.

The first stage of the project focused on enhancing existing drainage complications, which involved installing three new drainage pits.

This project prioritized the retention and protection of existing trees on site throughout the construction process. However, due to drainage concerns, some trees had to be removed. These were subsequently replaced with new trees. Additional landscaping features include planted garden beds, a hydro-seeded lawn, and areas covered with mulch

.A major aspect of this project involved dealing with contaminated soil, which Yellowstone Landscaping addressed through meticulously planned procedures.

Nature play elements feature a include a dynamic multi-station with monkey bar trail and stepping stones. The playground is equipped with a variety of equipment including a combination unit, a play-boat covered with a shade sail, a flying fox, basket swing, rockers, spinner and a spider-gon climber.

The park now features a gathering space with BBQ facilities, a picnic setting and seats with back and armrests. Other improvements include a drinking fountain, benches, and a shelter. Footpaths were improved which has increased accessibility to the area. The enhancement of park amenities has transformed this area into a family-friendly space that fosters social interactions.
