Project Overview

All aboard ‘Deepdene Express’!
This play space is train themed, which allows endless play for kids! The journey begins at the ‘ticket counter’, where kids can then play on the existing tram carriage. This playspace renewal for City of Boroondara, features a combination play unit, senior and junior double swings, and a sky carousel spinner. Park amenities include shade sail, picnic shelter with seats and benches, drinking fountain, a BBQ and bike hoops.

This space has greater accessibility for users with limited mobility and wheelchairs. Nature play elements include a water pump and creek bed, balance logs and boulders. Additional plants were planted and new shade trees were installed for improved overall shade.
